About

Dennis Ngan is an artist and a spectator. He was born in Hong Kong and is currently based in London. He makes and curates images, and works on internet art and installations. He is interested in time and space, and its representation in the form of images. His belief of the idea of realism in arts, which is the accurate and detailed depiction of contemporary life, directs his sight at the internet. He believes that the cyberspace is the defining medium to examine life in the bad new days, highlighted by the prevalence of screens, surveillance and spectacles. He uses the “materiality” of the internet to examine contemporary life, probing into how an image is presented, concealed and consumed on it.
